Hey! I'm Yajat.
If you're here it means you've made an explicit attempt to find about about me, what I do, and how and what I think about things. So I at least owe you an introduction.
I'm a 20 year old, born and brought up in Gurgaon, now studying Computer Science in Singapore.
Some facts about me
- A year before college I built my first website a tic-tac-toe player called Tick-Tack-Toe, needless to say it was atrocious. However, the process of creating something ex nihilo, the realisation that there is no process to build, just putting thought to action, was a massive realisation. The world became my playground. Since then I've been building things for fun, for money, and in the hopes of being an internet millionaire. If you're interested in those, you can check them out here.
"Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it...Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again." - Steve Jobs
- I was fortunate enough to be put into piano lessons at a young age, and have been playing musical instruments since. More than the ability to play, it has altered my perspective while listening. I also may have briefly rapped over stock beats.
"Music is the shorthand for emotion." - someone, i think
I couldn't agree more.
I love having meta discussions about the world we live in. Speech can be like art; articulating what everyone feels, in a way they couldn't. Good lyrics, great speakers and fine writers all carry this ability to create an 'aha' moment. I hope to be around such people.
I'm an Arsenal fan, make of that what you will.
What is this blog even about?
Great question. I've gotten a greater appreciation for thinking clearly. For one who can think well and clearly, will have better thoughts and execute them. Problem is, to put it lightly, I suck at it. My brain at most points is foggier than a December morning in Delhi. I've found that writing improves this, it helps me slow down my thoughts to the pace of my writing. While this exercise is helpful, flipside is, most of thoughts are not worth publishing. The ones that are, will be found here.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I hope you enjoy your stay.
